Dr. Topher Atwood
Why Chiropractic?
Dr. Topher (He/Him), a local Minnesotan, grew up with winters in the snow and summers on the lakes. Attending Minnetonka High School, he ran cross country, skied nordic, and sang in choir. He chose to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire because of its renowned program in Kinesiology and fantastic campus environment. At college, Topher taught group fitness classes both on campus and at the local YMCA.
He discovered Chiropractic from a professional project in school, and after shadowing doctors, Topher realized that Chiropractic aligned more with his life than he realized. With principles founded in the innate healing capacity of the body, preventing disease and sickness, and maintaining health; Topher decided to attend graduate school in Marietta, Georgia at Life University.
Today, he enjoys working with people to regain their health and reach their goals through chiropractic. Aligned in providing a healing space that is inclusive and safe, all are welcome.
A Passion for Outdoor Education
Coming from a family who spent their vacations in the mountains, tents, and traveling by canoes; spending time in nature comes naturally to Dr. Topher. He learned how to be a steward of the land, to practice “leave no trace principles”, and how to share the outdoors with anyone. After finishing his undergrad, he worked for a well known outdoor rock climbing guiding company, and may have lived out of a car…! Topher spent his early 20s, sun-up to sun down, climbing, guiding, and smiling. You can still catch him climbing at local indoor gyms in the Twin Cities!
Topher has a great capacity to lead people through fear and unknown territory, skills that directly translate to his work in chiropractics.
